Hi Guys, Not my stuff but posting it here for the forum. A seller on Ebay has a cache of 1965 Wildcat 4-speed parts for sale. See at the following link: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1965-Buick...ash=item25e336adeb:g:Fv0AAOSwyYFZ8Qjy&vxp=mtr Thanks, Matt-
Ask one of the Wildcat guys, but I question whether the shifter is correct. A wildcat handle is short and stubby. The owner appears to be a member here.
I was looking at the shifter also...the linkage ends appear to be 65 correct, but I am not sure. This set-up looks fairly complete as far as the hard to find stuff. My friend just sold a 65 last year because he always wanted to find a 4-speed car. Somebody out there has probably been looking for this stuff awhile.
I suppose most of the lever could be below the boot and not seen from above. Someone like Ted would know.
Here is a picture of a 65 four speed shifter posted by Ted. If I read Ted correctly the picture of the shifter out of the car is from a Camaro.
I plucked that picture from your post on another site. I thought you said something about it being from a Camaro. My apologies. Is the shifter lever in 64 Cat shorter or the same as a 65?
63 and 64 had 2 - one non console similar to 65 and the one in the long console known as the horseshoe shifter- it is curved forward making it pretty stubby - totally unique. For my 5- speed conversion I'm retrofitting the earlier version into the 65 long console.
OK, I blinked. He is shipping them Monday. Gambling very seldom pays off for me,,. rolled the dice on this one.
