has anyone else had a problem with the carpet from acc not fitting their hump in the floor correctly? Mine is way too large. I have an auto column shift car. It’s probably 3 inches too tall.

It sounds like you may have received a 4speed carpet. Can you post a picture? Can you force it down without wrinkles in other areas? Three inches is a lot of material and it will be difficult to "bury" it without a console.

I might have a picture. I double checked the part number and it says it’s for an auto. But I’ve heard of the wrong carpet being in the box.

All aftermarket carpet blows,..pad it up with insulation is about all you can do, without heating and stretching and gluing etc

Yeah, I’ve seen the old posts. 20 years ago i did black carpet in my gs and it turned red within a year. I was hoping maybe someone knew of a part number or supplier that worked.

Acc makes the carpet for everyone, far as I know there is no other suppliers.

The guys at Legendary have talked about doing carpet , but I don't think they will. They use ACC in their "kits"

If it is the only choice perhaps get it to fit the center and work outward? Any excess or trimming can be done at the edge.

    Disclaimer: Haven't done it myself.

Can't really do that as it being a molded carpet, it will just then mess the floor board areas up

I’ve been on the phone with acc, they claim the carpet was pulled forward far enough. But the front fits well and the heel pad is right next to the gas pedal.

So, their customer service stinks, and i have no other choice. I’ll just have to live with it.

Yep. I will typically set the front carpet where it needs to be for the heel pad, then glue down the carpet from the center-out. Then cut off the excess at the door sill. Heat, steam, etc. are your friend.

Some areas, especially where no feet go, can be built up a bit. Will not change until it rots.

Just to update, they are sending new carpet. Should be here tomorrow. If it fits the sAme i will be spending a lot of time with a heat gun.
