  1. Hey guys,
Just picked up a 1964 Buick Lesabre with the 300 v8. It today started to make what i thought might be a rod knock. Took it to a couple local mechanics one says it’s not a lower end noise and another isn’t really sure. I replaced the fuel pump and changed the oil and the sound went away...( for a short period of time)... just curious if anyone has any ideas whatelse it might be.. thanks

    Cracked flexplate?

  4. I’ll have to check those two as well because it’s mostly at idle and once you put it under load like into drive it quiets

Just seen this, welcome from SE Michigan!

    Did you investigate this yet?

  6. I checked into both it seems when the engine is cold the car doesn’t make the noise at idle until it’s driven
