"I have owned this car since the mid 80's. The car was kept garaged most of that time. Lost storage for the car, it's time for a new owner. The car has original paint, and interior, with only 70,000 miles ( MA Title), Started up but hasn't been driven in 2 years. It has been covered in my driveway, needs a new garage. Car has excellent bones for a full restoration, or just polish, wont need much, to take to Cruise night, $6000 or best offer. Contact me for an accurate description, or with any questions. Thanks"

If it was closer and the CDN $ was in better shape, I'd already own it.
As it is, I'll just lust after it...:(

Life is too short. Just go to the bank with pics. They have lots of money. : ) That is what I did. Even with exchange over 5 years payments would probably be $200 a month

Yeah, a guy should, but I just found out that I'm getting a free 53 Olds from a friend, unexpectedly and not costing me a thing. And, I've already got 2 big Buicks. I'd have a heckova time trying to convince the wife to give up even more space.
At least the Olds is solid and it runs, or it used to when I last saw it.

OK V-8 Buick People: Finally, the money's good! I agree with the seller's description. If....and ya don't know until you put it up in the air and look at it.....it's a nice original, it's a great start for a balls to the wall resto. No a/c or power windows is somewhat common on these things but....to some who wants to really blow it apart it could be a deal breaker. It's on ebay for 4K with no reserve. Yes, one could shine this up with Maguires#7 and knock around town with it but the inter will fall apart in a very short time. Mitch

Hey Marc, What model Olds are you getting? I had a 1953 Super 88 with a 303 cu in. First year 12 v. for g.m. and loved it

Gary, it's pretty much the same thing, it's a Super 88 4 door sedan. Last licensed in about 1972 according to the plate on the back. It's in original condition too, so what I see I pretty much get. The last time it ran it did 100 mph on about 6 & 1/2 cylinders and got that fast within a mile too. Not bad for a 303 & hydramatic, fell in love with that motor right then and there. Then the fuel pump quit...so the car has good bones. It was supposed to be a parts car for my buddy's 2 door hardtop, but it's too nice to slaughter.

Cool! I know it's not a Buick, but I would love to see a pic! It's been a long time.

I honestly don't have one of it yet; but I'll probably get one soon, I'm still looking for storage for it, and trying to convince the wife it's better to bring it here and for her car to stand outside; - "hardens the paint up you see"...yeah, that probably won't work...
And the fact it isn't a Buick makes it interesting. Old Oldsmobile Rockets like that are some of the most unloved big cars out there today, most don't realize that these cars were the screamers of the day that were winning all the races. That little 303 was a sweetheart and in many ways a lot more forgiving than the original Nailhead was. They're easier to build too, I rebuilt my buddy's 303 and it turned out sweet; it lit off at on the first crank once primed and I dropped the distributor in. I seem to have a better knack for making an Olds run than a Buick, I have no idea what's up with that. So I'm looking forward to doing another one, I might make it a sleeper and load some speed stuff into it, have to see how much work that motor is going to want first though.

Mine had a cracked head and I would have to carry water everywhere I went. I had the head welded and couldn't find valves for it so I had 6cyl Chev valves machined to fit. Still was fast as blazes and we loved the way it would almost keel over in a on ramp loop. What a tank! I remember the PRND21 was in a different pattern on that car and the indicator was electric. Great Batwing air cleaner on that car too. At 17, I was quite proud of it and I showed it to my aunt who missed the point completely and said. "It looks kinda old, but it will do until you can afford a newer car"
That took me down a peg... Here's some fuzzy pics of pics. Ahh halter tops and bell bottoms! The seventies had their moments

    Cool pics!
The car I'm getting looks almost exactly like that one; it might be a darker shade of blue. Interior has blue fabric tops on that tan or grey seats. No power steering or brakes, going to have to find those. It does have a radio and a clock. It's a Canadian built car, does have the Hydramatic and the electronics still work. The needle jumps when you turn on the key. No "park", just starts at "neutral". About the only thing I don't like is that it's leaf-sprung in the back. I'm thinking there is an issue with the head or the head gaskets, I've got low compression in two adjacent cylinders. And yes, the car is stupidly fast for what it is. The fuel pump is one of those dual-action things, and the diaphragm disintegrated with modern fuel. I had overhauled the carb just prior to the last run, so it survived and didn't try to catch fire.
I'll get some pics the next time I'm out there.
