Very nice! I'm really beginning to appreciate the 39 model, love that interior!

 

That is a sharp car . I think back then Buick was trying to give Cadillac a run for the money.

 

I don't understand the front doors. The bottom hinge is external like the rear doors, but the front door upper hinge is internal like a newer car. Very strange

 

They were just starting with internalized door stops or detents then, not to mention the body also curves inward towards the bottom. So that way the door opened level, and not tilted downward.
