From what I can see, you want the outer edge of the tires to be even with the outer fender. Is that what you are after?

I did some calculations and was thinking of going 215/65/ 15 for the fronts and 235/60 15 for the rears.
Again, they are 15x7 in the front and 15x8 in the rears with 3.75BS.

You'll have to lift the car some, otherwise the edges of the tires may contact the fenders on bumps.

Sorry if I was rude. When you said ‘stance’ and described your desired look, I went more negative than was needed. I thought you meant that hellaflush/poke/stretch trend that is at best poor riding and dangerous. The tire sizes you’re considering are a little small for an A body and as Larry said your backspace may cause more problems than it’s worth.

No problem. I know I'm taking a risk, but it's something I do and enjoy.
Maybe I should stance it just to make everyone mad ;)

BTW, here is my Nova I built (and miss). I want to do this with the GS, but with a little less tire and substitute it with a little more wheel.

The Nova looks good. Not sure how less tire and more wheel would look, though.

I answered my own question: They do fit, and no rubbing.
You may or may not like to look, but to confirm, a 3.75" BS does work!

Cool! Now, don’t touch the exterior. Fix only enough of the interior that the dust and flapping of loose material don’t annoy you on the interstate. Tune it, curve the distributor, be sure the qjet’s right, make sure all the systems are road trip ready, and drive her to Bowling Green in October! I’ll buy the first round!

Haha, that’s the plan. The carb was rebuilt along with the distributer. All new plugs, cap etc. All new brake system including disc brakes, lines and master.
She’s almost ready for long road trips, just need to get the stereo going

Maybe I am missing something here, but how does your stance differ from the picture I posted? Does my car have an "old man" stance? Not seeing it.:) Glad you are happy though.

It's not done yet, still have to do control arms, shocks, and lowering springs. Stance isn't just the wheel and tire size, it's the overall look of the car's suspension setup.
I don't see too many old guys driving ratty looking cars, they tend to want something restored or pristine. Don't get me wrong, that's nice too, but I want something different.

That is what I'm not clear on. I look forward to seeing pictures as you get the car to where you want it. Keep in mind as you lower the car, and make other suspension changes, what clears now may not in the future.
