    Single stage Sikkens. Sikkens was the hot ticket back then. OE paint for BMW supposedly. At the time I wanted to duplicate the original finish. I thought clear would make the shine too deep. That paint is nearing 30 years old and it looks like it was painted last year.

    Cool. I’m in the process of getting mine painted back to original glacier white, but assumed clear coat until my painter recommended single stage. I want that deep shine, but wasn’t sure if single stage would get me there.

    '67 when we bought it. It was a total mess. Wounded engine, extreme wiring nightmare, chalky paint, etc. The engine was built by TA. It won the CarCraft Dyno Challenge back when it was built. Guy I got the car from bought it, bought a lot of expensive parts for the car, then proceeded to cobble everything he touched. Engine ran on seven cylinders. Cam lobes wiped.
