does anyone know if they ever made a 12 bolt that would bolt into a 84 regal. i have a 10 bolt posi but its only the 7.5. im afraid once i get my 455 in there instead of my 350 chevy im gonna blow it to dust.

Hey Dan. Like I said when Doug was checking out the Centurion, on the street tires it'll live but on sticky's forget it. I've seen a stock 12 bolt bolted into a Regal but it's wider and with the stock control arms it gets pushed rearward and pinion angle is forced down. Options are to buy adjustable arms, shorten the rear (new axles) or different rims (backspacing). Then you still have to have a good driveshaft made. Not just because the rear u-joint is different but because the stock 2 1/2" .065 shaft will twist with a good hook-up. There are still other options but it's all about the money! :TU:

Jegs and Summit both sell the rear aftermarket arms to fit the 71-2 Skylark/Cutlass 8.5 rear in the 78-87 Regals/G-bodies. If you have a decent engine, the 8.5" will last.

    south side machine lift bars

My friend bought a set of south side lift bars that convert an A body rear into an F body. You need both the upper and lower bars to get the correct geometry. He had a 12 bolt A body rearend in an 1980 Regal.
