Welp, Just put the final touches on the motor for the Tube Chassis '72 GS being built in the shop here. This was by far the most fabrication intensive motor ever built here, and I am glad it is behind us.. this one is done, dyno's tomorrow afternoon.. and then we move on to the other 8 in line.. Here's a pic of how it turned out. JW
Nice Jim- That is a work of art! Can't wait to hear the dyno results. What's the guesstimate on power?:TU:
hooray!! excellent work jim ! let us hope that this engine will put out on the dyno and make all us old buick owners proud !!! gerry
PRETTY PRETTY PRETTY p Jim: That is a HONEY! I hope it performs even better than it looks. If I had that between the frame rails of my 72 Skylark I would "allmost" lose my love for small block Chevies! Jake 1972 Stage 1 Skylark
Jim When you get a chance, could post some detailed shots of the Stef's air pump? I'm curious as to how close in construction they are to the OEM Ford pump I've been using. I'd like to step up to one w/o changing the whole mounting structure that is in place already. Just remember, all those "one-off" pieces are what set some cars apart......looks great. Now let's here some dyno #'s so we can start the bets on what the car will run.
my motor is one of those 8 i can't wait also buying level 2 turbo 400 and a complete x pipe system jim is going weld it together for me also tail pipes for n 25 bumper then sending it to get it jet coated it will last a longm time.jim is a great person to do business with.
Jim! Were you stoned? That is one ugly POS! uh, wait, I thought this was that ugly car thread... I think that powerplant should be part of the logo somehow. Can you take a nice HD pic and get it put onto a t-shirt or something? Very nice indeed.
What!?!?! No TSP badges anywhere??? I think a small metal badge bolted or bonded to the valve covers would be something I would think about if I were doing them. :Brow: Mike
