Mine need replacing. Looks like only some places offer the u channel adhesive/glass seal. What have you guys had success doing? Any help would be appreciated. Mike
You can use glass setting tape, I think 1/32 thickness .fold it over the window edge and slowly tap the chrome strip on to the glass then trim the excess. Or you can get a tube of windshield urethane and glue it on . That stuff gets everywhere so be careful.put a little in the chrome channel and stick it on the window use tape to hold it till it dries. Steele rubber most likely sells the setting tape . I think you can get urethane from Napa. Hope this helps. Cheers. Tim
The parts place or OPG sells quarter glass vertical chrome in complete kits or pieces sold separate. They have a pack of the 2 rubber strips. Somone might have black hard plastic ones. I think those hold better without using adhesive. I've used both.
I used the tape with a splash of kerosene. They came out great. I would have considered using hard plastic as the tape was $20.
