Although I am retired US NAVY, I sure enjoyed that SR71 popping the F-18's cherry, busting his chops. I've heard this story several slightly different versions of Navy planes, with the text in a slightly different version. I liked it best when he puts the "At that moment, I knew we had become a crew." is just SO much better when used after the controller gives out SR71's speed. It shows pride as a team more that way.
