I have an original 67 GS 400 tray but it needs work on one corner and has many pits. these aren't reproduced so let me know if you want pics.

I appreciate the offer, but I believe that the tray I have is exactly what you described... original, but needing work. I'll hold out for now. Unless anyone else has come up with one?

    Nick,
Thanks for the link.. That's what I'll go with

Heck, you can repair just about anything, right?

It appears that the only thing that was salvageable on that battery tray was the holes!

OH, you are gonna love how I "repaired" it.
Ever use POR15 2part epoxy putty? There is a fair dose of that in there.
Ever use POR 15 patch along with some fibreglass before? There's a fair dose of that in there too.
That shiny black is top coated in POR15 and it was transformed with ZERO metal loss and ZERO welding!!!
I figure, they tell me this is what it is for, I'm gonna see how long it lasts. :)

It's my trial holder. I found a really solid one about 2 miles away before they crushed all the pre-1980 cars. Has minor pitting and no rust out.
