https://www.ebay.com/itm/233732968639?ul_noapp=true No one is bidding on it, so reserve is not even close to met. BIN is about $24K.
If you go to the full size pictures tab, it has under hood photos. It has one of the Poston ram-air breathers on it.
Yeah, bidding only got up to about $2k. Disappointing. If I were in the market for another GS, I'd have offered in the $15k ballpark at least.
Wow if you are a dealer selling a car like this and it bids to not even $2100.00?? What does that say?? Twenty One HUNDRED!!
My memory certainly isnt what it once was but IRRC, there were only a handful 1972 455 Sun Coupes produced. 7 were SCO Stage 1's. . .Other'n those 7, the rest were 350 cars. Sun Coupes are kinda cool, I've had quite a few. This one has some issues, ie: 71 Skylark grille, 71 front bumper, 14" wheels. . .& low options.... one of the biggest problems is NOT MANY people know how the "Folding top" mechanicals really work, and then finding someone who knows how to apply Madrid vinyl correctly and parts is always a challenge. Still, crazy to not get at least 10k bids IMHO. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
Funny how he "forgot" to use the word "clone" anywhere in the ad, but did use words such as... "This is a Very Rare 72 Buick SunCoupe. The numbers are believed to be in the 1600 range produced....Needs a little paint work but this is a Rare and Beautiful car! " Imagine someone paying him the BIN price of $24,000 and taking this rare car to a show to proudly show it off, only to find out from a knowledgeable attendee (or judge) that his rare car is a fake. The seller better have bodyguards on retainer...
well if ya wanna git technical.... we all know the 455, GS hood and a few other things are incorrect and his description is definitely a slippery slope, however, it is for real a SUN COUPE. . . and I agree like most here, he really needs to clarify and disclose those incorrect items for the new buyer... I love Sun Coupes... Wheelz, Tampa Bay
