My body guy says the stampings on the repro quarter panel I received are not in the right place.
(Note: I bought it a few years back so no returning it.)

He says the heights from one side to the other vary as follows:
-- 1/2" height difference at the marker light.
-- 3/4" height difference at the body seam.

I assume factory pieces would be a lot closer than that.

    Opinions?

That is way off. I would go NOS or used from a rust free State. Might be worth it to buy a parts car. You could possibly drill out the spot welds yourself and melt out the lead seam and separate if you are on a budget. Also you could contact AzChevs ? He has done that in the past for his parts

Oops -- would stating the year help?

Right side / passenger quarter on a 1969 GS.

I would rather not state the source here in case I am wrong -- been a couple years or more and maybe I am misremembering something

Already cut up and mounted, unfortunately.

Just not sure how to avoid a repeat on a reproduction piece...
