A guy local to me bought a Saturn yellow X here in WPB at Barrett Jackson back in the spring. Car sold new in Pompano Beach to a local that owned a Kris Kraft (sp?) boat dealership. Tomorrow morning I am meeting him in Jupiter for a local show and it will be my first time taking a ride in one. Heads were done by Gessler and engine done by JW. Original Stage 1heads are in a box. I think he paid 65 or 70?

Well, I see at least 4 different items in the pics of the trunk, for instance, which show specific GSX only things. I think the Seller is trying to confirm to some people that the physical body is the real deal. Trust, but verify.

This. I’ve been burned buying a car sight unseen off of eBay before. You really should look at the car in person or at least have a knowledgeable neutral party inspect it for you. eBay only allows 12 pictures for their standard ads and I believe the seller was just trying his best to prove that the car is the real deal to potential buyers with the 12 pictures he had to work with.

I get what you and mrolds69 are both saying and I agree. I think mrolds69 is looking for overall condition. If the frame is rusted and the extent of body rust as well as missing or damaged parts , I would like to know too. The seller isn't lying, he is just showing what he wants to be seen and knows that money wise it is not a viable project.

eBay allows 24 pics for a car ad...and for a high profile car like this, even if it cost an extra $3 to post more pics....post more pics!

I really thought this car would top out at $15k ...I think I would get it running and driving if I bought it, and just drive as is. It's cool as an original paint X, regardless of condition.

The sad part is everyone wants a GSX but no one wants to pay .
If a person buys the X to have a GSX ,that's one thing.
To buy and sell a GSX for profit , you need deep pockets .
The owner of the Ebay X is a diehard Buick Guy !!!!!!!!

How hard is it though to restore it completely and say numbers matching now a days ..... The average Joe see what I did there ain't gonna know the difference.
Half of these guys that buy these restored muscle cars have no idea what there doing.
My opinion on what I have heard and seen walking around these Mecum auctions over the years.

I don't agree with that. I think a uniformed buyer could get screwed over on a bad deal. I normally say its worth what someone is willing to pay but in this case I think a lot of information is being left out or left to someones speculation. I hope whoever ends up with it is happy with what they have bought but that may or may not happen. I wish the buyer all the best.

On the GSX Facebook page a fellow member's grandfather bought this car new.He stated that he'd like to have it back but the $25,000 to buy it was too steep for it.He also stated it the motor isn't original and it needs rockers where they hook to the cowl area,1/4's trunk pan just to name a couple things as well as the rear frame is rotted out.Still,I'd get the mechanicals worked out and cruise it..

Isn't this the sad truth? Not sure I can pin it down, but as some point in time the Buick community became cheap. If Buick lovers won't pay up for a car, no one else will, and the market will suffer as a result.
