I usually park in a wide enough area to allow the door to open all the way. Everyone that comes near any of my cars knows not to even breath on them because I am so anal about the finish.

BTW, do you actually expect people to mark the back of the seats? I dont know anyone that would fit back there.

Looking at the parts in the bed of the truck I did not know Buick used those 12 point?? nuts on the connecting rods.

  4. I realize a lot of you guys hate mopar but I’ll always have love for it. My daily is a 6.1L hemi that blows doors. My 455 is going into a square body.. so I’m no purist. I’m just a gear head who appreciates anything well engineered.

Only Buick short block I got into was on a Nailhead..never in my 455's..
I saw the same 12 point screws on a 455 Olds too.

I actually was set to buy a 68 Coronet with a slant 6 and had a line on a 440 to do a swap and the night before I was to pick it up I seen my 69 Riv for sale. I fell in love instantly, called the guy and bought the Riv, called the mopar guy and cancelled our deal. I did explain the situation and him being a car nut too he understood and had no hard feelings. If the wallet would allow it I still want a 68 Coronet to keep my Riv company:D:)

  10. Found out today the cam bearings didn’t spin. I was a little worried because I couldn’t find OS bearings- turns out TA sells them!

New plugs and bearings pressed today. Got my reman Q-jet, B4B, cam, lifters, push rods, and gasket set sitting on the table. Just need to pull the trigger on pistons, rings, and tie up a few loose ends and she will get a 2nd shot at life. Appreciate all the help gents!

A few more tricks on the oil mods. Have the booster plate ground flat and parallel. They often are not. Get a set of oil pump gears from Mike at AM&P, he works them a bit. I picked up 10 psi at idle with those two mods.
