67 GS arm rest bases.

    ANyone have 67 Buick GS arm rest bases the plastic with chrome coating.. Or a place that I can get the ones I have replated....But mine are not that great.

    Hi Michael,

    Vacuum metalizing is what you need done. I can't remember the name of the place that did mine, but I will keep trying.

    will be sending them to gcartrim.com but Ive been told its about a 6 month turn around.. so now I need another set to use now for the next six + months anyone have a set around?

    I found the name. Chrome Tech USA. Very happy with the results.

    Unfortunately, ChromeTech has closed up shop. I had them do mine also and was very pleased how they turned out.

    Another option is to just paint them to match your door panel.
    I could actually plate these at my workplace but we do a lot of hi-tech components so we'd have to charge you over $1k!
    The 'chrome' is actually vaporized aluminum. I wish I knew the procedure to prepare the plastic, I could sneak them in sometime.
    We also do a lot of anti-reflection coatings, which would be cool on speedo cluster plastic.... it would make the glare disappear and it would look like there was no plastic in front of the speedo!
    But I digress!......
