Hi guys so my new '61 Buick Invicta will shortly be in transit over the pond from the states to me in the UK, I'll post up more pics when she arrives but uber excited!
Would be great to see some fellow Invicta's for inspiration, I'm hoping to custom the rear lights, exhaust and lower the front (any ideas on best method of doing this would be appreciated).

A company called the Electric Garage used to run an auction house out of Red Deer. Don't know what they're called nowadays or who they're affiliated with but I imagine it's still around. If you look at the Saskatchewan plate it's for the 1961 year. In Alberta all you need is a rear plate, so you can pretty much put whatever you want on the front, - Saskatchewan is common, as is BC. I've seen the odd Newfoundland ones too. So the car could be local, who knows. If it's a Canadian build it will have an Oshawa plate on the driver's A-pillar.
    Nice car!

    Nice.
    I have a -61 4dHt.
A way to lower the front is to cut a half turn of the springs, not more.
Why customize the rear lights? They are nice as they are. You could put on the chrome ribs on them that some cars have.
And do away with those low profile tires.

A nice looking car. JMO but it would be nicer with factory wheels and wheel covers. I'm pretty much into stock-appearing iron, but it's your car. If it were mine, I'd get it back to as close to stock as possible, including painting the engine the factory green, finding a stock air cleaner, and getting rid of that universal upper radiator hose. The closer to factory it is, the more it will be worth. You aren't likely to improve on the original styling or stance.

Talk to these guys to go lower:

or you can install air ride, which is what my 61 had on it.

Someone has replaced your invicta tail lights with Le Sabre tail lights. See if you can find some Invicta or Electra tail lights.
Here are what my Electra tail lights look like.

I respectfully disagree with John. Your car already has custom wheels and interior. I think going back to stock will be expensive, and will not make it worth more (considering the expense to change it). And I think you can improve on the stance. Here is my old LeSabre lowered, which I think looks better than stock 61 electra bumper.JPG 61buick side.JPG 61buickatthecrib044.jpg IM000530.JPG .

Thanks guys she's out of Canada yes I did see last year was sold in auction. I'm usually a purist but do like the look of this just needs slightly lowering up front.

That looks beautiful love the stance! Few people have mentioned cutting half a coil might see how much that effects ride, if so I'll go for air later on.
Are Electra lights a like for like fitment? can't see many places selling Invicta or the ribbed lights

Electra taillights will fit right in but you need to swap complete unit lens ,chrome ribs and chrome surround are unique to those lights only

It looks absolutely amazing. I am fond of that five-spoke wheel design. The wheels from the first photo reminds me of the Torq thrust American Racing wheels that I have about 2 years ago. I had it installed because of its classic aesthetics.

It’s a bubbletop V8 and had has one UK owner.
It’s a rare and beautiful classic with many custom parts including 15² finned brakes, exhaust, red/ white interior and foose wheels.
it also has a 401 nailhead engine that runs well with smooth gear changes.

This is a rare opportunity as not many of these were produced.
