Brake boosters

    Are the 70 disc boosters any different from a 70 drum or 71/72 drum/disc?

    Gonna send one off to booster dewey wanted to do the rite one obviously I hot a pile of them but no idea what they were originally equipped with

    Ask him? I have wondered that myself. I bet you would get more money here for it. I would rather have an original than one of those terrible looking Chinese jobs.

    There are date codes on that little tab on top but not sure if Year is there or just three digit day?

    Not to worried about date code, just wanted a 70 unit if they were by any chance shaped differently

    They are the same,the only thing that might be different is the pushrod.They have short ones and long ones.If the pushrod hole in the master cylinder is deep you need the long pushrod. Shallow hole , short pushrod. Hope this helps. Tim

    Just trying to say if it has a 70 date code then it’s a 70. Does not mean a 71 and up is not the same but it sure does make it simple if you have a 70.
