1969 Wildcat Custom heat/AC question

Picked up a nice condition hard top fully loaded car a while back. Finally got to put some time in on it. I have it running and driving. I have everything but the heat and AC working. Has the "automatic" temperature controls in it.

I am looking for a electrical and vacuum line schematic for under the dash. I have power into and out of the blower switch on all settings (had to rebuild the switch) and vacuum gauge changes as I run the controls. Using a vacuum pump at 18 in/hg to test the system. Can not find any leaks when pressurizing with the smoke machine. Blower works on "de-ice", but nothing else.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I was going to put an 8.1/700r4 in it to tow my 1968 boat. But since it runs so well and I have documented that it only has 28,600 miles on it, and the interior is a 9.7 of 10, I hate to alter a nice survivor. And 2 quarter size rust spots in the entire car.

I am guessing that this system is as foreign to everybody as it is to me.

Nice score, nice 69 cats are few and far between. I have the same car as well as a service manual, I’ll have a look tomorrow in the manual and try take some pictures for you, Gordon

That would be appreciated. Everything is hooked up. Vacuum has been checked at 18in/hg and holds. Vacuum switch appears to work as the vacuum will drop a little when the switch is moved then comes back. Blower switch was cleaned and made to work. Has power in and power out at all settings. Only runs the blower on de-ice. The vacuum controlled valve on the heater hose works. The hose heats past the valve after I turn the system on.

Wade i looked in the service manual and there is alot of information, way too much to list or take pictures of. if you want something specific i will post a few pictures for you but you should get yourself a copy of a 69 chassis service manual which are readily available through many vendors, i think i got mine at TA performance? post some pictures of your car if you can and tell us details about it, Gordon
