Cute little early odd fire V6 in there (count the wires on the cap). Probably a 105-110 HP rating with a 2V, It was 155 hp with a 4V. These are also Jeep motors. My old 283 "Corvette" boat motors were rated at 185 each with a Rochester 4V on top. ws

Marine V-6 - we had a "Classic" that had this engine. Totally reliable little V6.

Theres quite a history behind "marinized" engines from all the builders done by Graymarine, Crusader, Chris Craft, Pacemaker,Flagship and many more. I cut up an old Pacemaker once that had a pair of 409 Chevies in it and steel Roamers were know for having side oiler 427 Fords as well. I used to be eager to take on those challenges, and that was in the 80's when you could still find the stuff... Then the Cuban thing happened...
Is that Fritz getting the farmers tan??? ws

This one on CR is the 155hp version. There was also a 200hp version based on the Buick 300. That would be the one to have.....alot smoother than that odd-fire V6 that gives the motor mounts a real workout.....

Cool old boat with Buick power, would be cooler if it wasn't a tri-hull and fiberglass.

Most of those older fiberglass boats have been beat to heck and have developed hull fractures and been left out uncovered through a lot of fall-winter-spring-use cycles and put away wet. The hull compartments are filled with a flotation foam (pours in like Great stuff) and expands and is decked over and becomes saturated; THEN FREEZES. I picked up a beater tri hull 5 years ago for the motor and two of us couldnt lift the tongue on the trailer. The unit HAD to weigh 5,000 lbs. Cut the floor out, DUG the foam out and layed down a new floor. Still was a water letter inner. I guess you cant make a purse out of a sow's ear right? We used it one time for moving floating docks around and then she got the Skil saw. To top it off it was a CHRYSLER. Yup dodge; depend on it LOL... ws

Yeah, I see it all the time, decent fiberglass boats left open out In the elements with the owners philosophy " its designed to get wet"
UHHHHHHHH, ASSHOLE, THE HULL IS DESIGNED TO OPERATE IN THE WATER, NOT THE INTERIOR:mad:

Looks like the original boat in the first listing is in remarkable condition for a 70, even the original interior is really nice. Talking about Buick engines in boats, the 300 was very popular marine choice.

This thing was a Sunday boat for sure... pretty holy. If I filled it with water I doubt a garden hose couldve kept up with it LOL... I got my money back outa it from a merc motor freak. Now my work boat is a 14 foot Mirro open job with a 7.5 merc o.b. Much simpler to run and I can do that one myself. ws
