I have a water pump, alternator, points, spark plug, fuel pump, fuel filter, voltage regulator, belts, fuses, and some various hose hoses, wires, etc in my emergency breakdown box. Might be overkill lol

    1972Mach1 Just some M.M.O.G. guy.....

Oil, trans fluid, gallons of water, and some 80w90 for fluids. 80w90 will work short time to replace just about anything for liquids save for coolant, and will help slow a major engine or trans leak.

I never would have made the drive had I known the rear frame and body mounts were rotted. According to the owner, his mechanic said the underside was in good shape and it passed inspection, but I was pulling chunks of rust off and could flex the frame with one hand.

Good grief, I hate when people tell you ,all is in nice shape ,when you get there it's a piece of junk.

Have a friend in El Paso TX. He is always finding BOP A cars even today tucked away in El Paso behind shops and garages etc. He is a Chevelle guy though, and says the supply of them has just about dried up now. So he now buys and sells BOP A car projects, largely on Craigslist. A southwestern car is the way to go, given the age of these cars. Unless by some chance it was carefully not driven in winters. Can get you his contact info, if you want.

Just closed the deal on a white 1967 GS340. It's more of a project than I was looking for but after getting a deal on some of the more major body work I couldn't pass it up.
