Good job Adam, in good time as Jim said. It looks great. Have a safe trip. Don't forget to put some black tape over the tach hole!
Lots of loose ends to tie up. We went 100 mph today and managed to get out of town at 530 or 6. Pit stop now....next stop Rosemont
Great job Adam!!!!!!!! You have accomplished what other shops could not have done in the deadline time.
Adam great job most shops. Would have 20 guys behind the scenes you only had your wife See you soon Hope you have enough energy to hang out
This is amazing! I'm glad I could contribute - even if it was in small capacity. Congrats and enjoy MCACN. Make sure to take plenty of pictures.
Wow, it looks like a different color under that light. How did you get that tach on there? You had guys working on it in the trailer while you were driving? That's a good crew you got there!
I literally painted the tach 10 minutes before we left. I tossed it in my back seat in the truck to dry on the way here. Installed this morning after we parked
What a beautiful car. Simply amazing. I would prefer to see a GSX owner waxing a Riviera, but that's just me.
What a weekend... Lots of great feedback on the 72 at the show! The lighting made the color look really dark...and the stripes look a touch flatter than I initially thought they would. I have lots of little loose ends to tie up after our thrash party on Wednesday and Thursday. After puncturing radiator #2 while drilling for spoiler bolt holes, I was able to repair that. Heater core is bad though, so I will need to find another one. Do they make these new? Several issues with electrical items need attention. Gauges, power windows, switches, etc. The headlights and horn work though! Fuel gauge reads full. Going to need to find a pair of 72 hood scoop grilles. Need to detail the rear end and control arms. Other than that, the underside of the car will remain with the Canadian undercoating. Mike got the car back to my place this afternoon, and then he was back on the road headed West once we got the 71 X reloaded. I'm pretty tired.
Here's where I got my core that I've yet to install. The smaller one pictured is the non A/C one you'd want. http://www.heartbeatcitycamaro.com/store/product/21529/69-70-71-72-Chevelle-&-GTO-Heater-Core-Assembly-OE-Quality-Copper-&-Brass-Without-AC/
Couple shots from the show that have better color. I think I have pinpointed that the heater core leak is coming from a small crack in the pipe coming out of the firewall, right at the edge of the firewall itself. I may try to solder that before I end up blowing apart half the car to replace it.
