Correct sir!) And that's exactly what happened in my case too) I went with 5.5 for two reasons 1. Cause there was much bigger choice in that category and 2. Cause i had almost an inch (10mm) narrower tires. So i thought it would work and it did, but for one side)) and a little trimming for the other side)

The 72 Skylark custom 350-2bbl came with a 2.56 rear standard. There is a 2 letter code stamped into the axle tube. The 2.56 peg leg would be LK, the 2.56 Posi would be LT. If it was a 350-4bbl, it would have gotten the 2.73, LL, and LO respectively.
