Just wanted to say I am extremely happy with my converter. Feels quite stock, good response at light throttle. But mash the gas, and wow!

Jim, I really like your hydraulic roller cam also. Car starts great/ idles great/ nice power band, and the exhaust note just has that hint of non stock, but nowhere near over the top.

Another satisfied customer here! I can tell its a bit higher than stock but not by much, drivability is not hampered in any way. Cruising the streets or highway is fine and mashing the pedal on an otherwise stock but well running engine is addictive. Very glad I went this route.

    Thanks Jim!

Finally installed the new converter all I can say is WOW !!!!! I nailed it once from an idle and the drag radials spun and I redlined before I could react ..... Time to invest in slicks or learn how to drive this thing again . Also no problem bumping against the trans when stopped in drive at idle . Seems real smooth normal takeoff .

    Thank you Jim

    Regards Dennis

Yup, no problem, I have a very nice 350 combo that many guys have been happy with. Give me a ring, or drop me a line, and we can get one going for you.

Finally got a chance to test out my new converter. Wow, couldn't be more pleased. Very positive throttle feel, feels stock until you lay into it. Eased into it and progressively put my foot down and it started to haze the tires at 30 MPH just on the primaries of the QJ. It absolutely roasted them in 2nd gear when I punched it. Regular street radials don't stand a chance. Engine seems to rev faster as well. Unfortunately, my Gear Vendors isn't working. I'll have to diagnose that. Seems electrical, fluid level is OK. Love the converter though.

    Hi Larry,
Going to be ordering a 9.5 from Jim and nice to hear you are happy with it. Can I ask what stall you have?

Stall is 3000-3200 according to the bill of sale.

Good to hear it Larry, I thought you would like it.. be interesting to go to the track now, and click off some times..

The key to that converter is they are built tight, with the highest torque multiplication via the pump/stator combo.. Your old vp in high stall was around 1.2 this one is 2.1 to 1.. should pick up your 60 foot, which is really important in a heavy car like yours. Bolt on the drag radials and the 1000 HP, and have at it..

It has to be something I did while I was replacing the converter. It was working perfectly before.

    Thanks Jim,
I'll eventually get it down the track again. My best 60' with the switch pitch was a 1.62. I was able to match that with the 10" ultimate converter, but only once, the other short times were in the 1.7o's. That ultimate converter was very heavy, at least 11 lbs. heavier than your converter. If I could pull a 1.5_ short time, I'm sure it will go faster.
