So I'm pretty much done and done with carbs. Guy at the speedshop recommends FAST all in one kit. I have a stock intake manifold and use a Delco HEI distributor. He says I may need to make some changes to both the manifold and the distributor to make it work. Who out there has made the swap? What problems will I run into.?Always get good advice on the board, looking forward to what I learn here!

I used the Atomic EFI kit, Jeg's $1251.00. Was the most complete kit I could find for the money. Very similar to the GM TBI, but all in one unit. Running the stock manifold with a 4 hole adapter plate, GM HEI large cap, TH400, electric fan, electric fuel pump. Will be swapping out to a larger alternator (63A to 105A).

Throttle response is awesome, no flat spots or hesitation that I found yet.

as for other items needed: Replace the fuel tank, if it is original to the car. Get or make a fuel pump block off plate as the kit will not have this in it. If you are going to use a return style system, the 2000-2004 Corvette fuel filter regulator/filter is the easy way to do that (on my list of upgrades). Route all the wires out of the way of heat or friction sources. Use cushion clamps to achieve this. Will only need a few new holes drilled. Be sure to pick up 6-10 extra FI specific fuel line clamps. Worm screw hose clamps won't work. Be sure to read all my dumb questions and the answers given. I think that the upgrade to the charging system is going to be key on what ever system you choose. [read the section of "brown out" or lack of voltage to the system]

The kit stated to use the supplied FI fuel hose. Found out that it was to eliminate any vibration with the electric FP pushing the fuel forward. I just capped the stainless line on both ends and ran their line.

Right now I'm getting ready to drill a hole in my firewall to route the hand held controller into the cabin (runs through the wing window right now).

So, which way did you go on the EFI?
