Removing Paint from Stainless trim prior to Buffing

    I have overspray on my lower window valance ( I believe that is the correct term) that needs to go before I buff the piece. Any tips, I DO NOT WANT TO RUIN THIS TRIM PIECE. Thank you.

    Lacquer thinner and or brillo pad, razor blade will work also

    :)Autosoll and 0000 steel wool then polish out with 500 1000 1500 and 2000 grit wet dry sandpaper polish out on buffing wheel with Autosoll finish with Never Dull
    should look great;)

    Set a thinner rag on it , it will soften and wipe rite off, or some aircraft stripper

    Yes. I would also use lacquer thinner.

    The lacquer thinner and some elbow grease got it done. Got a set of stainless rocker panel spears that are gonna need the same treatment. I had ruined one spear I had that had paint on it by oversanding it , reason for reaching out.

    I doubt you ruined a piece, stainless is tough stuff. I have a guy in Fall River MA who does my stainless.
