Electra 225 ?

Dumb question but why are the 255 referred as "street sweepers" I've ran across two guys all ready referring to them as street sweepers.

There are a lot of people that don't know what the 225 refers to : Its length in inches . And when they later made the Electra 380 it was the Metric measurement .

I never heard them refered to as street sweepers . But I have heard LeSabre's refered to as " Swords "

I know it wasn't just us, but everyone we had was called " The Deuce and a Quarter.

In downtown Atlanta the pronunciation is ‘duce-na-quota’.

Of course that was the length when the Electra 225 was introduced, as we know they swell to as big as 233.4" over the years, Never heard the street sweeper name either.
