That is a beautiful 66. Except for the front bumper being tweaked If it is as nice as the pictures look great piece to pickup.
Very nice! Looks like a great deal. Amazing what 15k will get you still if you're willing to look and buy something not "mainstream" like a Chevy or Ford.
OK V8 People: I have studied the posting last night and I love this car. bbSTILL, ya need to really inspect it because the cash register never stops ringing. Mitch
I like it to. Small stuff, but it looks like rear sail panel part of headliner is stained on pass side? some rust on rear of trunk lid at the bottom? says vinyl top is original, but seams don't line up with trunk / rear window filler panel like they would on an A-body with original top. Any 66 guys care to comment on that?
I will be watching as well that vinyl top looks as nice as the one I had put on 4 years ago. I also like this cruiser!
It's nice...and far enough away so I don't have to think about it. Besides the tweaked front bumper, I didn't see too many offensive things about that car. It'd be a very nice cruiser, even though it has a poor option load. Love the colour!
OK Brian: Not loaded. A few missing options: R/C Outside rear view mirror/s Power Windows Power vent windows Rite side reclining seat headrests GS option/ or 425 engine Cruise Multiplex Stereo/ 8 track Tach Climate Control a/c Wood Steering Wheel White walls Door edge guards/ license frame Can't see if it's got full tint or not, posi, Still, it's a really nice piece, a prospect really needs to check it out thoroughly and then make a play for it. Mitch
The owner did tell me it has posi. "The headliner is original and has not been redone. It is complete, is not torn It still has the original engine and transmission, nothing has been done to the rear end it is positraction as far as I know. The AC did not work when we took apart the plumbing on top of the engine to detail the engine compartment and repaint the engine. It did not work because it needed to be recharged. It has not been recharged and the fan belt that runs it was not put back on the car after the detail work. The bucket seat and interior are what the car was special ordered with along with the other items that were listed for the car. Also as mentioned in the ad, this is a Wildcat Custom 2-Door Hardtop Coupe, not just a Wildcat 2-Door Hardtop Coupe. It's vin tag is a 46637 for the custom not the 46437 for the regular hardtop. It needs the rear bumper moved to line up with the rear lights."
I might be able to check this out for you Saturday - it is a bit of a drive as it's on the other side of town, but I have to admit I don't know too much about these cars. Best i could do is gather some excellent photos and give an objective report on the condition, presentation, etc. Let me know if this is acceptable.
