Has anyone made an aluminum radiator support for 70-72 GS? I would be interested in one,if possible. I had one made for my Olds a few years back.Cut the weight in half. The factory steel was 45lbs,and the aluminum one was 22lbs,even with the extra supports for the fenderwells, grilles, etc.

Mine was made by a guy in South Dakota. I think it was about $700.00,including the greyhound bus ride. The other ones he made were a lot more basic,stripped-down,race-only. I put mine in a fully-dressed street car,and had him add tabs & gussets for different things.
Previous to that,I took a junk factory one,and hole-sawed the life out of it. It didn't even drop 10lbs off of it. That is when I decided to go aluminum. Looks much better than a Swiss-cheese piece.
