Hi, Gang. I'm going to replace the relatively short, vertical weatherstrip on the windshield pillar of my 1971 GS convertible. This is the weatherstrip that the leading edge of the side window contacts (when up). Is there anything tricky to watch for? Also, is this weatherstip glued into the stainless steel channel, or will I find some screws imbedded in it? Thanks very much for any help. John
Looks like no one has replied to this for quite a while. On my 71 Skylark convertible there were screws holding the weatherstrip to the windshield post. I also used black RTV (silicone) between the weatherstrip and the post because I had to adjust the weatherstrip away from the pillar and closer to the glass near the top. The black RTV is near invisible. So in my case the answer is yes and yes, screwed and glued.
