Nice looking trailer, what does it weigh as it sits?

Not certain but it's probably at least 3000lb. Guessing it could be as much as 3200-3300 based on its construction.

Man..............that's just what I'm "unofficially" looking for! I have absolutely no time to drive out there right now, but I am interested.

You're not planning a trip in this direction any time soon, are you?

Sorry Steve, I don't envision having a trip out that way this fall. At best I could probably meet part way into OH for my fuel cost if that is of any help.

    Jason,
If by chance you don't sell it this season, I'll still be interested in it come spring.............just in case!

I am sorry Steve - It sold within 3 days and I could have sold 2 of them. Honestly didn't expect it to go so quick this time of year.

So on the subjects of trailers, I know the 70 GS is what about 17' long and will fit in a 22' trailer, but are the different length trailers still the same width and can you get out of a GS without having to climb out of the window when it's loaded :) I ask because I'm going to be moving back east next spring/summer and would like to buy a box trailer to haul the GS in and be able to use it for race days after that!

Most enclosed true "car haulers" are the same width or at least within a couple inches regardless of length. They make enclosed "cargo" box trailers that are more narrow so you have to make sure of the dimensions and what you are buying.
Even with a car hauler you'll have to crawl out the window unless you get a trailer with an escape door and with a high enough box height that the car door will open over top of the trailer wheels. Some assume just because a trailer has a midway escape door they are good but first you have to be able to escape the car to escape the trailer. So if not crawling out the window is high priority always check dimensions to make sure your car door will open over top of the wheel well.
Skylark might not be as wide as the Riv but considering I couldn't open my door more than 4", I don't think they are that much narrower.
Of course the other option is to mount a winch inside and winch the car in. Problem solved.

I agree with JZRIV. My 70 GSX and my 70 GS455 were hauled in several different sized trailers over the years. If you park slightly bias to the right side, you can manage to get the door open enough to slip out.....unless you're a sizable person. Again....check to see that the door clears the inside trailer fender.
My last two trailers had street side doors that were located to my specifications. Then you can egress through the door. I needed to have risers on the floor of the trailer to clear the fender with the car door.
My next trailer will be a simple cheap used trailer and I doubt if it'll have a street side door. I'll opt for the winch.

Didn't think of the winch. One day I hope to have my GS clone done and it'd probably have fixed lexan windows so climbing in and out would be even more difficult.
