this car is local to me. 12k miles, been off the road since 74. garage kept the entire time. arrow straight, 100% original. white painted top. it needs a little loving, but it's as nice as it gets. http://www.m.ebay.com/itm/263169522069
Beautiful car but, I'm a bit concerned that a car with only 12,000 miles and garaged the whole time would have an engine bay with that much patina (spelled DIRT). But, a very nice car.
the picture makes it look much worse than it is. its actually pretty clean under there. the 455 carries most of its paint and isn't greasy. these folks are not car people. they don't know how to take good pictures or list the car really...
Having been associated with a higher number of low mileage originals than most the engine bay can either be pristine or if storage conditions are not ideal, the engine bay is the first to show it - this is classic not the best storage conditions. One also can't assume that a low mileage car was babied all it's life, that 12K miles could have been put on by a farmer that lived back a long dirt road. Low mileage is no guarantee of a mint car.
