I recently purchased a cherry picker and was given permission to roam and pick tools from a garage. The owner recently passed and the owners son let me. I came across a socket set that looked to be black like a impact set BUT looking inside they were all hollow and had no teeth. The might have had a concave way to them but if they did it was so small to the naked eye. I tried to look online but nothing. Does any one know what they could be for? Also I was told he worked with sbc and seen old Mallory or msd coil box's could they be of any use for a 455 (I want to build one one day). And I seen a hurst pistal shifter for a " 2 or 3 speed automatic". Should I have passed on it. Because I want to run a stick or a 4spd o/d. Thanks. I got some real cool stuff too.
If it is a TH400 automatic, post a picture of the tag on the passenger side and the partial VIN located just above where the pan mates to the main body on the driver's side.
That's a 4l60 or maybe a 700r I'm rusty on my chevey stuff, don't see a dentent cable for it to be a 700 tho
I think I can see the detent bolt on pass side. Cable driven speedo. 4l60 should have a elect speedo IIRC. ID tag has fallen off the bellhousing. 700r John
