    The transmission is torn apart at the guru's shop waiting for parts. I had a set of clutches that was fried, trashed needle bearing in the convertor, and a couple bushings were spinning in the drums. So far, I'm at $1000 just for parts.

    So much for an $1100 rebuild. I should have seen this coming, being a Flight Pitch transmission. I had no idea it would be that bad inside, though. I'm sure putting a few thousand miles on it wasn't good, either.

    Sold...in 2014 :)

    It ended up costing about $2k in total to have the transmission rebuilt. I sold it after I put it back together and bought my 60 convertible.

    Laurel went to a BCA guy in the heartland region. It think it's in Indiana now.
