Anyone know of anything OE style that will swap over and offers a bigger rotors and or just better stopping power, new build will be capable of 160+ mph and really wanna make sure it stops. Think rear disc and stock front with the caliper upgrade would bring 3600lb to stop , would rather not have to pull the chute ALL the time, but don't wanna die yet either

At 160 I would still pull the chute everytime, much easier to fold up a chute than build a new car. I personally watch at least 6 cars from ppl I know meet the scap pile because they were running speeds faster than 135+ and they said the same thing, I didn't want to fold the chute each pass......they now all fold it.

A lot of times once something does go wrong at those speeds it's too late to pull the chute

To be honest, I probably won't work up the nerve to run this thing out the back door, I feel pretty sure just 1/8mile for me, we have decent size shut downs on most of our tracks the ones I support any way. But I feel ya, it will probably scare the poo out of me and I'll just use it for a shop decoration ha

Looks like the Kore3 brackets with C5corvette brakes are the best option, was hoping to find something that would clear my 15in wheel tho,..some 17's up front would look more up to date tho

I run the 12" Camaro 1LE rotors on B-body spindles, with my 15" Prostars. The first thing I did before I built the car was make sure it was safe and would stop.

That's what I'm looking for, what year model rotor? And what caliper?

Looks like the CCP C5 kit is the ticket $650 complete with spindles 13in with stock c5 calipers

And several 12in Wilwood kits for under $800

The C5 kit didn't exist when I swapped mine 20 years ago. Does it do anything to improve suspension geometry?

It's taller so I would imagine it would, I've never been into aftermarket suspension stuff so it's kinda cloudy for me

Sounds similar to the B-body spindles.

I used the 4th gen F body front disc setup. I used a set of hubs from BRP hotrods but you can machine your own down to fit.
    98+ CAMARO BRAKES “LS1”:
    Rotor Size: 12 inches
    Rotor Thickness: 1.25 inches
    -Caliper specs
Piston size: 1.75 inch outer diameter
Total pistons surface area: 9.62 square inches
Material type: Cast Aluminum via gravity cast

I also used the booster and master cylinder too. I like the availability of parts with the newer stuff.

I don't there is anyway to get a 12" rotor and 4th Gen caliper's to clear 15" wheels. I ran them on my gtp and they barely cleared my 16s. But was a nice upgrade at a reasonable cost to the stk gm w body.

The rotors front the 4th Gen fbody, the Monte Carlos from 98-@ least 04, the park Ave from 98-05 are all the same 12" you can get calipers, brackets, rotors and pads for under 200ish new from most parts stores
