Does anyone know of a supplier who may have the correct Hunter Orange connector for our Buick clutch start switch jumper wire assembly? I'm making a few spares and all I have been able to find are black ones (Packard 56 connector #2973407)

American Autowire sells a jumper harness with that color connector. Not sure if they sell it separately

Thank you Jason! It's even cheap at $12/each.

The American Auto Wire part number is 20455 "clutch start switch jumper".

I had a Pontiac repro and an original buick clutch start switch side by side.. they are the same.

Yes, they are. But for whatever reason, the Olds start switch is not. Its very short for some odd reason. Ask me how I know:D The Buicks and Ponchos take a long harness that wraps over the pedal hanger and into the switch. I cant see hoe the Olds one would work unless the 442's take a different switch?

And the current repro Poncho switch has the wrong color connector. Should be orange but its black

The Olds uses the same switch for 70-72. They use a purple wire with black ends. It might just be how the dash harnesses are routed, and where they put the pigtail for the jumper wire. I can take pictures of the Olds next time I am up under there.
