Hi folks, wonder if anybody can help.... just taken delivery in the UK of my 67 lesabre and all seems ok, needs a bit of attention here and there but all things considered it's in good condition. Have just discovered that when in 'park' the car rolls and doesn't stop, to me this doesn't sound good. The car has done 60k is all original and is the lesabre 400 with the 340 engine. has anybody got any ideas what this is? Can I drive it to a garage or should I not? I am based in the uk and information is scarce,

    thanks all,

    Jim

You may drive it if your brakes still work, use Ebrake/park brake when parked. It could just be linkage maladjustment. Crawl under car and disconnect shift linkage at transmission, shift trans to park detent manually. Release brake and see if car still rolls, if it does it needs repair. You can also compare to be sure that shifter position aligns with shift lever at transmission.
