Blowing the dust off my knuckles and will be ONLY working on my Skylark for the next week. What I have to do is get my engine put together. It's currently semi complete but not quite.
Before I go buy some parts i want to check in here first to see if someone has it slightly used or at a better price. It would be to get it up and running. I don't intend on selling my Skylark.

#I need a gasket for the oil pick up.
    #Oil pan gasket.
#A carburetor adapter that go from a QJET to a B4B. @BuickV8Mike do you still have that?

#Bolts to make the engine and trans.

I'm going threw my parts shelve to see what I have and what else I might need.

    Thanks @B-rock .

What did you do for frame to engine mounts? I've heard of the TA route just curious what you did?

    Wake up men.
Is this engine missing anything besides the fan?
Anyone want to sell me a fan that will fit, I bent mine? I will pay for shipping, and PayPal. Looking for a deal 20200322_115642.jpg 20200322_115649.jpg

That alternator looking thing above is a smog pump. You could go electric fan and avoid the clutch fan, fan shroud combination. That intake will take a Q-jet.

No it's not it's an alternator.. Never seen wires coming out of a smog pump. See the electrical connector in the rear???

Not the picture right above its the 3 reply from the top is the smog pump. The engine pic above has an alternator and no smog pump.

I just did a similar swap last year. 69 430 into a 67 skylark. I bought the mounts from TA performance with their special frame pads. Ive done many engine swaps and this was by far the most difficult. The engine will not go in with the exhaust manifolds on, and the manifolds are a bear to put on. I was barely able to fit an electric fan between the water pump pulley and the radiator. the best fitting radiator was an aluminum one for a 69 camaro with the side tabs cut off. The lower radiator hose from a 300 and I'm still looking for a good fitting top hose that doesn't sit up so high. I noticed that you have an internal regulator alternator on the engine so wire it in correctly. While the engine is out, cut the protruding block tabs off.

  19. Did you get a rear sump oil pan and pickup tube yet?
