Chris.... just for grits and shins, I called that 72 Stage 1 guy: Rebuilt Original motor with NEW- NON orig QJ and does not have the original QJ. NO "W" in the VIN. NO TITLE..however, he has the original owner registration and paperwork from Rhode island stating a title from 50 years ago is'nt necessary to obtain a new title of ownership on a vehicle that old. . .?? hmm DO NOT think that is true here in Florida but interesting nevertheless. Body is ragged out, seats are ragged out, consolette with aftermarket shifter but was "told" the original rusty shifter is in a box, NO emissions AIR PUMP/brackets on motor. NON a/c. M22? I cant remember FOR SURE but me thinx M22 was not an option for Buick??? but MAYBE?? He is going to send me pix from his phone. He is 2.5 hours from me, meaning at least a 6 hour day IF someone wants an eyeful of factual opinions. . . Wheelz, Tampa Bay
oops I stand corrected.. . . The seller sent me the vin: 4G37U2H206542 SO, in DOVES F&F GUIDE I see 5th digit is a "U" indicating for certain a 455 and NOT Stage 1. . . hmmmm.
My Riviera came from Rhode Island, and indeed, no titles in that state. I had to do a police inspection on the VIN after it got here to Montana and apply for a new (only) title.
ThanX Lucas! BTW, Florida, being a transient state for the most part, will more than likely have a real issue with this kind of paperwork... Been there did that. Just say'n. Wheelz, Tampa Bay
