The Silver 71 GSX was Vicki's car. She was a school teacher and bought it new.

On another note, I am not sure you could get red-lines on the 71 cars.

Duane, you are yet again, correct. Adam, he wants to see a side view of the car showing both wheels. Those picts I have.

    docgsx It's not a GTX

The lack of detail around the Vin number and dash which can be seen in the pictures leads me to believe that many details have been overlooked. Small block, automatic, low option car, Not even a $30,000 car in my opinion.

I totally agree. With the wrong bumper, steering wheel, and air cleaner, plus the low options. Now way near a 45K car. at best IMHO maybe a 20-25k car. I'll bet just another flipper wanting to make a buck from a not knowing buyer.

The ‘71 GSX that sold at Leake Auction for $33k is now on eBay for $59,995. Also advertised as all original paint which is not true.

Don't know if the X's did, but redlines came on my 71 GS from the factory, (14's).

Ryans-GSX Have fun, life is short.

The guy is a flipper. He has bought a lot of cars and flipped them. Some i think he has done really well on by being patient and not in any kind of hurry to sell. He will keep it for years before he will let it go for what I feel is a fair price. He just sits and waits for someone to pay up big that has to have it lol. This one he may sit on for a bit because it's been sold so many times previously. I don't think its going to move for what he wants to make on it. It seems to always sell for $33K-$38k range. I have followed it for years.

Agreed---And the last owner from Michigan did some motor work-changed the Cam -does not have correct rear end, etc...totally ruined what "survivor" was left in the car. He will never get that money for it....Good Luck to him!

At least the transportation guys are making money on the car.

Like Ryan, I have followed this car for a number of years. I made a fair offer for it last year, but was refused. I think the car is at the point now where it is getting harder to call it a a true survivor,. The fact the engine and trans have been opened up and coupled with the wrong rear end, added hood tach and disk brakes, it is not the car it once was, or as advertised. If I bought it (which I still think about doing) it would get a complete repaint.

That may be blasphemy to some of you, but the mismatch gold between the bottom repaint and the original top gold, along with all the various paint damage, merits a repaint in my opinion.

It has been flipped so much lately that it is getting freezer burn. Just like the other 71 GSX 350 that keeps getting flipped.

    Cheers

At this point its like saying a girl has only been a porn star for a year so she is still kinda like a virgin with a very few miles on her.

Randy, if you bought the car and wanted to repaint it, then the engine bay would have to get freshened up, then the motor and transmission may as well come out....only 8 bolts hold the body on and so it begins lol..
