Did a little mocking up of the front clip. Front fenders are roughed in and primed. The core support is in place along with the headlight assemblies, grille and headlight surrounds. While in this state I'll finish the wiring under the hood and try to fit the hood and my light weight hinges. The hinges will need a little tweaking to work with this hood...… but I'll figure it out. The front clip should only need to come apart and back together one more time...……..I hope! Also finished roughing in the console and inside battery disconnect, along with the chute lever and cable. Front signal lights are finished also with new LED's...… just need some better lens at some point. (One is cracked pretty bad)
Starting to look like a car to some extent, rather than just a pile of parts!!

I see some lightening work on the core support, love the details.

So far so good! Looks great!

If you see Yachtsman Bill tell him he is missed! And maybe to come back?

I gotta tell you Steve, some of those earlier shots from underneath already made this thing look like a CAR! A seriously B..B...B.A.D.....Car!

Love seeing the progress! As I'm sure you do too.

Any closer to having your power plant done?
    Just curious....

Keep up the Awesome work, and the updates.

Did you make the hood hinges Steve?Nice progress

The heads are expected to be completed by December, and TA has started the short block assembly..... things are finally happening!! Once TA gets the heads they should be very close to lighting the fire! (Normally asperated until I add the boost here at home).

Yes, I make the hood hinges. I have them for the 70-72 applications, but this is my first fitment of the 64-65 version. I needed to add 1/2" spacers to get them farther away from the fender, so I don't know if I'll change the design or just add the spacers to the finished "marketable" product...… haven't decided yet.

Thanks everyone for the positive comments! I started running wires yesterday and will continue today...………… and probably for the next few months!! LOL Doing a decent wiring job and documenting it is a huge task!! Many hours of work for very little visual satisfaction.

Still running wires and editing my electrical diagrams for documentation. Big job!!! Cleaned up the center console and did away with the pitted ribs on the center. Used "brushed aluminum" 3M wrap in it's place. Did the same to the switch panel for in the console box. Printed out the switch labels on clear sticker printer paper and applied over the top. Turned out pretty well.

Will continue to do wiring and hopefully by late next week I can hook up a battery and do some circuit testing...……..Once that's all roughed in and functional I can start the body work...…..

Love that switch panel hiding in the console!
I was looking for the Bond 007 type of oil spray to cover the road behind you to keep predators off of you! Or maybe a rocket launcher! ;)

But seriously, the custom font looks great!

Backup camera to see the waterbox!
Luvit! I can't see chit backing my 70 into the water, I rely on the waterbox girl . Have often thought a back up camera would be nice to have....Jim

Back up camera is a great idea. I first thought you it was a joke. But with helmet and everything else it makes perfect sense

Yeah, I wanted a radio, since its a street car first and foremost and the one I got was a Kenwood touch screen that really matches the Holley digital dash. It happens to have all the modern features including a rear view camera.....
The switch is for turning it on manually if im not in reverse. That way I can see if my competition is catching me at the big end and if I'll need to hit the scramble button!! Lol

Progress on the wiring...……… tested well over 1/2 of the circuits so far. It looks like way more of a mess than it is, but it'll take a LOT of tidying up to have it "presentable". Not too many more wires to run...… except for the digital dash.

Well..... been super busy with SRE stuff, but I try to make it a point to work a few hours every week on the car. Finished checking all electrical circuits and started putting the dash together. Holley digital dash and Kenwood touch screen with backup camera. I want to wrap this 12 volt thing up real soon and start on the bodywork!!

All I can think of is, "WOW!". I've got to see that car when it's finished, and I am more than willing to drive up there to do it.
