Just curious if any of the board members are a dealer for diff gears, specifically going to buy a ring and pinion for a 9". I'd rather give money to the guys I know on here than to one of the box stores or eBay sellers, especially if the price is competitive. Thanks in advance.
Jim (username Monzaz here). A number of us (myself and Larry being two) had him build our rears, but he'll also sell individual components pretty reasonably. Here's his website. It mentions GM rears specifically, but I'd be shocked if he couldn't help ya out. http://www.jdrace.com/
9" stuff is available anywhere and the quality can be sketch. I bought the better yukon gear set for mine. They were somewhere in the 350 range. No issues so far. I'm sidestepping the clutch at 4k with slicks too.
Oh, I'm well aware. I've only had 1 or 60 cars with them. Just trying to keep my business "local" to the board.
I like to install the Motive Performance line. These are the ones in the black/orange box,not the cheaper line in the black/blue box. US Gear/Strange makes a very nice gear as well.
Last strange stuff I bought was less expensive from Summit than directly form the mfg. Summit had free shipping as well.
That wasn’t the case with me. What did you order? There are some situations where Summit or Jegs does have the exact same part for less,or free shipping, but lately their tax has made it a wash.
I found Strange 9" gears for $189 shipped from these guys. Don't think I'll find any cheaper. https://www.quickperformance.com/Ford-9-Ring-Pinion-Gear-Set-Strange-US-Gear-350-Ratio_p_20418.html
