This is a great project and being a stage 1 4 speed matching numbers car worth all the effort.:) very cool car.

Man, I love this car. I'd love a factory Stage 1 4-speed to go with my replica. Unfortunately, the currency exchange hurts me too much. GLWS.

Is there any crunchiness under the vinyl top?

I don't think so but I'll look again and verify.

I’ve read that modern engineers have a difficult time setting up the emissions software for manual trans cars because the transition from open throttle and load to closed throttle/no load is one of the most likely to generate excess pollution. I doubt they were that precise in ‘72 but maybe the carb tuning for the manual was richer?

Here are a couple of pictures of the vinyl top at the rear corners of the top. Found a couple of spots on the passenger side that have bubbled up but don't feel soft. HTH

Did this car trade hands Larry?

No, I still have it. I have had some interest in it but nothing solid yet.

Larry, in the future I would avoid saying "nothing solid" in any for sale thread, LOL :D

Yes, that comment could be misinterpreted. LOL.

I do have an individual that continues to be interested in the car. It's just a slow process.

I have reduced the price to $15,000. Also here are some additional pictures I took about 3 months ago on a walk around of the car.

A mention was made in the Feb '18 thread about "regular" hubcaps being on it originally. Not for heavens sake these basic ones?!? Find it hard to believe these would have gone on a big block stage car.

Part of me wants to get in line to buy, then the other part of me reminds that part that I don't have the money for it.
But I sure have the room and desire for it.

Will have to think this one over Larry.

There was a ‘71 Stage 1 convertible at the ‘Nats a few years ago and it was a super low option car. Had twin stripe whitewalls and volcanoes on it.

I think many of us feel the same Tom. I've quite often thought about how to pull this off w/o selling a car.
