    Here the fried wire near the fusible link...

    Just need to clean the fusible link wire to see what color they are.

    The main feed wires are 10 and 12 gauge. The fusible links are 14 and 16 gauge.

    That correct Larry. Each fusible link wire is colored coded Brown 14 and Black 16. dont want to confuse the two when i get the links tomorrow.

    Ok, Links installed correctly and still no change. Where do i go from here???? Chasing shorts is not my strong suit. LOL

    There really isn't too much that can go wrong as long as the fusible links are good. The two main feed wires with fusible links go on the main lug of the starter solenoid along with the + battery cable. As long as the connections are good at the battery and starter, and the battery - is grounded, you should have power. If not, unwrap the engine harness and trace the main feed wires back to the firewall. I'm thinking this is something obvious that you will find.

    Lol...Thanks guy, I really needed that laugh. I've had issues with shorts but have better myself on skirts.

    Just an update:
    Have everything sorted out (Battery ground was loose at the block) Running very well now. Need to get the Carb looked at. Won't stay running when cold.
    Got the car Registered yesterday.
    The wife surprised me with a small gift today.
