Hey Im New To The Forum But Im Currently In The Middle Of A Rock And A Hard Place And Need Some Advice Im Trying To Swap My 434 Sbc into my 61 buick lesabre also i have a th400 already built and ready for drop in but the oil pan on engine is not clearing from the center drag link that sits right behind the sub frame where the engine mounts are when i mock everything up the pan jus sits on top of the steering component also the th400 bellhousing is banging up into the tunnel as well please if anyone did anything similar to this swap please give me a ring back and guide me on my journey please and thank you
The only way i can think of is that you’ll have to modify the oilsump and the tunnel to gain clearance.
Thanks everything cleared now im wondering if i have posi and what type of gears are in the factory rear of this 9 3/8th if you can give me a few pointers i would appreciate it is it worth keeping in the car or should i change it out
