    Thanks for clearing that up.

Is there any advantage/disadvantage to cast vs stamped in replacing them?

The 67/69 are a good rocker assembly if in good shape, but most the time the stamped are fine for single spring applications

They seem to be the most available, and I don't plan to ever have any huge cam in it. Hoping the lazy lifter is just gunked up and a cleaning out fixes it, I fear the can of worms a cam issue could open up. Mostly bad cam bearing(s) requiring the engine to be pulled.

I've been working a boat load of hours this week, I apologize for my absense. If anyone cares to know, I decided to go ahead and order new replacement rockers and shafts, and they should be here by Tuesday.

    UPDATE:
I installed the new Melling replacement rocker arms and shafts this morning. What a breeze it is on these engines! I noticed that the old style cast units seem to be bushed, but still are worn enough to have a lot more slop to them than the stamped replacements. Much to my relief, and surprise, it was in fact a worn rocker on #7 exhaust causing the noise. The engine seems to run much smoother now, I assume due to the valves opening as they should. I did manage to break off a top center valve cover bolt, but aside from that, everything went smoothly, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. 20190601_110542.jpg 20190601_110554.jpg 20190601_113135.jpg 20190601_111302.jpg

EDIT: Here is a quick clip of the driver side now for anybody who might care. I've been chasing that danged exhaust leak since I first started the car.
