oh that makes sense now J is supposed to be an I, they are too close together on my phone at 6.15am.
I could see the Challenger in my rearview mirror as I neared the traps and thats always a good sign .
He was a first timer driving at the drags and his Dodge was immaculate in the body and interior but the 440 under the hood just couldnt come close to a Buick.
It was a fun day fooling around for me.
I left the sticky rubber at home and decimated the 7 yrs old TA's that were on the car when I bought it.
Had just enough tread left to get me back home
Looking now at widening the rears to 10" and better rubber.
Theres a few more smoky burnouts if you look closer at my link.
Like this one where the torque pushed me out of the water, Buicks dont need water.

NOPE...Was a 440 anyway, nice exterior and interior but lacking grunt, was the guys first time at the strip too, he kept avoiding me in the staging lanes, but I bailed him up at the tower, shook hands admired his car, gave him a few tips on racing, like leaving on last orange, then suggested we run each other .
As I said I was only there to put on a smoke show with 7 yrs old T/A's...still ran a squirrelly 13.99 @97mph on one pass though
