Hey everyone, I am starting a new thread here about these Aluminum GS hood seal plates. Its been a while since I have done a post on these, so rather than revive a dead post I thought I would just start a new one.

I had these Aluminum GS hood seal plates made a few years back and they were put on the back burner because of some other projects we had on the go. However recently we were doing some house keeping around here and it Jogged my memory about them.

These hood plates were CMM'd off of an original set of 70 GS plates, and then we had them precision 3D machined out of 6061 Billet Aluminum.

I have 20 sets in Raw Machined finish and will be selling them for $169 plus Shipping. the machine finish is very nice and would take very little to have them ready to be polished or prepped for paint or powder coat.

The best part about these is you don't have to chase down an original set and they will not warp like some of the aftermarket pieces.

Just ask Board Member Bizerre, he has had a set of these plates on his car for a few years now and the still look great.

If anyone is interested please send me a PM that is the best way to get hold of me. hood seal 1.jpeg hood seal 2.jpeg

We looked onto doing the anodized finish, and were actually going to do about half of them that way but we were not sure what finish people would prefer.

Was Leo Bizerre selling your product? I thought he had them manufactured and sold them?
    I personally know Leo.

    Hi Guys

Here is a couple pics of the aluminum seal plates mounted on my car. Notice how they haven't changed since I put them on. Hope you like them.

    Thanks

    Ray,

I cannot honestly say I know when the ram air base changed to the smaller opening. I know the 72 has a smaller opening on one side but was that change done in 71? I can’t say. Maybe someone else in here can shed a little light.

70 and 71 were the same.

    The change came in 72.
