Just found this forum. Very cool, and...thanks for having me aboard. I'm not what you would call a real car buff, but I do love older cars. I have worked on my own vehicles many times over the years and I am very mechanically inclined with a half decent shop and tools, machines etc. I definitely have way more experience working on older vehicles though. I have inherited a 1976 Buick Electra Limited 255, V8 engine, and would like to know which board on your forums would be the best to ask advice regarding a possible restoration job. It's been on blocks in a clean, concrete floor storage facility and out of the weather for at least 10 years.....just hope the mice haven't moved in and damaged anything. I'm interested in getting it in driveable condition for now.....or whether it's worth it. Could use a few pointers on how or where to begin ! Thanks , Don
Welcome! You will have to start searching the threads and posting in appropriate sections, the bench is a good place to start. put some pictures up after you have a couple threads, Enjoy!
'A boatload of fun' is probably the most appropriate for the car. If you have specific questions, peruse the different sections and you can post it there if appropriate. So you looking to do the restoration yourself?

i Don,welcome from Long Island,NY.No one said anything,but you stated that you have a 76 Electra 255,it should be 455,right?Maybe a 350,but not 255. Bruno
